Stephanie L Grant
Stephanie L Grant is an independent photographer, artist, and model working with alternative photographic processes to explore the trauma mosaic and internal family systems. Her work explores the relationship between body and mind, parts of self, and how art can make meaning out of suffering. Themes such as searching for home, unresolved traumatic grief and loss, proximity, presence, and absence are found throughout.
Stephanie graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in English and Studio Art, with concentrations in poetry and darkroom photography. She subsequently completed a Post-Baccalaureate at Temple University in Psychology focused on the intersection between creativity and mood disorders.
Her photographic and research interests include the physical, emotional, and spiritual manifestation of psychological suffering, memory formation, identity fragmentation, disordered eating, and post-traumatic stress.
